Newly Elected Governor Charlie Baker Participates in Panel Discussion
Baker stresses cooperation with business, education
WORCESTER — Speaking about "the economic opportunity of education" Friday afternoon at WPI's Biomanufacturing Education and Training Center, Gov. Charlie Baker said he plans to focus on the "tremendous collaborative attitude" between the educational, economic and political communities in Worcester.
The governor kept his comments brief but, in turn, received an earful from a panel of college and corporate presidents and CEOs shining a "spotlight on excellence" and the successful public and private partnerships connecting education to the work force.
